My name is Barbara Westgate and I am the daughter of Jean and Smiley (Grover) Ingram.

Not sure you had heard or not, but mother and daddy passed away in January. I came across a Christmas letter from you as I was going thru some of their papers today. Granny (what everyone called my mother) died of ovarian cancer on 3 January. Daddy followed three weeks later. They said congestive heart failure, but we know it was a broken heart as they had been together for 65 years and were married just shy of their 60th wedding anniversary. So, we know they are where they want to be--together.

Up to the end, Daddy still talked about things you all had done in the AF together. He thought fondly of you. Warmest regards, Barbara Westgate
